You may wish to browse article summaries (the headlines and descriptions that appear in the News pane) offline if, for example, you are using a dialup connection and are not currently online, or you are without an Internet connection for any other reason.
When online, RSSOwl reloads news summaries and retains them in memory each time you select a newsfeed.
When you go offline, newsfeeds you opened are
saved to disk, allowing you to review the news summaries for those articles.
Note: The offline archive may be turned off in workbench preferences ("Automatically save newsfeeds for offline reading").
Note: When being offline you should activate the "Offline Mode" ("File" | "Work Offline").
You can also store selected newsfeed summaries to file for offline viewing.
